I am Lorenzo D. Rivers. Being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with years of experience offers a profound advantage in the fitness industry. It signifies a deep understanding of exercise, physiology, program design, and injury prevention. This expertise allows for tailored training regimens that optimize performance, reduce injury risk, and help clients or athletes reach their fitness goals efficiently. The combination of certification and experience establishes credibility, builds trust, and positions me as a go-to professional in the field. My methods proved effective with every sport that I trained resulting in championships and individual best-ever win totals in a season. I designed or assisted in the implementation of strength training and conditioning for all the University of Virginia's Athletic Sports during my tenure there and the Football Team while at Tennessee Tech. I have had and continue to have success in the private sector as well.

My Story
I was a four-sport athlete at Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Florida, participating in football, weightlifting, wrestling, and track. In high school football, I achieved All-County, 1st Team All-Conference, All-State, All-South, and Co-Player of the Year honors. I rushed for over 3000 yards and scored 27 touchdowns during my two years of varsity football.
My college football journey took me through the University of Central Florida, Independence Community College (Honorable Mention All-American), and Tennessee Tech, where I earned MVP, Team Captain and 1st Team All-Conference honors and led the OVC in yards per carry in 1987 with 9.7. I also played professionally in the Canadian Football League.
Post-football, I served as the head Strength and Conditioning Coach for football at Tennessee Tech and later as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Virginia. I’ve coached football from pee wee to Assistant Varsity Football Coach (Runningbacks) witnessing two tailbacks rush for a thousand yards each in the same season.
As a personal trainer, I’ve developed classes and group training such as KISS (Keep It Simple Seniors) and Body By Zo Boot Camp, at Anytime Fitness Ruckersville through LDRIVERSFITNESS.
